I’m a true believer that life is better in shades of pink but ruffles don’t hurt either.
So you can understand that I naturally gravitate to my signature color in any space whether I’m walking down makeup aisles, shopping online or in the Dollar Corner at Target. I try and see life through rose colored glasses because … why not?
Wedding season is upon us and as I start planning my guest attire looks it’s a no brainer that I’d like to incorporate pink if I can but to find this one with a gorgeous ruffled neckline from River Island was a bonus!
I was a little hesitant with the body con silhouette since I have gained some weight and haven’t been feeling like showing off my extra curves.
Even confident people can be a little self conscious at times.
So I ordered a size up overestimating my new body. (River Island Plus Sizes range from a US 14-24 by the way!)
In my head I was much larger than in actuality because when I tried on the dress in the bigger size I was swimming in it. I ended up getting if tailored to fit me just right.
Gaining 10 pounds is not the end of the world and it won’t stop me from putting on a pretty pink dress and have a great time dancing and celebrating love at all of my friends weddings.
I’m currently loving the dress options at River Island and can’t wait to show you more from their plus sizes in the next few posts.
