We’re just days away from my favorite season: SPRING! So that means more reasons to wear fun frilly and femme things, right? RIGHT!
Living in Florida I can basically get away with wearing a Springtime wardrobe all year long but there is just something about it officially being the season where everything is blooming. It get’s me so excited and rejuvenated.
The sweltering heat of forever Floridian summers hasn’t quite hit us yet so I can enjoy wearing clothing without dying from humidity.
Oh and what this weather does for my skin and hair?! If matte soft skin and smooth coiffed hair isn’t a blessing for an oil and frizz production company like myself, I don’t know what is!
Back to fashion.
I loving the Spring Arrivals at River Island. I was getting depressed and tired of seeing the same old boots, cardigans, coats or anything to do with Fall and Winter when shopping. I’m ready for bare legs, more color, floral prints and cute details to add sass to my wardrobe.
I immediately gravitated toward this dress because of the frills of the the skirt.
Who doesn’t love a ruffle hemline?! (If you don’t, we can’t be friends. I mean, it’s like a requirement.)
This dress just keeps on winning with it’s Kelly Green stripes and puffer sleeves. All the darling details I could want for a casually chic spring dress.
So because the dress is shorter than what I’m used to I opted to wear sneakers instead of a heeled sandal. To me sneakers provide more balance to the outfit instead of wearing high heels and I love the casual cuteness pairing of a dress with sneakers.
